Live polling

Live polling for meetings: anonymous voting on any phone

Votarium is a free tool for live polling in meetings and workshops. Participants scan a QR code or enter a 6-character code and vote anonymously – no app, no account, no cookies.

No account: you get an edit link that lets you keep editing the presentation on any device.

What you can ask

Polls
Single or multiple choice, for example to choose between options.
Scales
Sentiment from β€œnot at all” to β€œcompletely”.
Word clouds
Collect words; identical words count together, regardless of upper or lower case.
Open text
Anonymous answers in full sentences; the facilitator can hide entries.
Ranking
Put topics in order together.
2x2 matrix
For example effort versus impact, as a scatter plot.
Q&A
Ask anonymously and upvote questions; the most supported ones rise to the top.

Anonymous voting: how it works

Participants never enter a name. To prevent duplicate votes, the browser creates a random token that is only valid for this one session; the server stores only a hash of it. The facilitator can optionally keep an attendee list – it is never linked to votes. All answers are deleted automatically 30 days after the session started.

Show results when you want to

For polls, the result stays hidden until the facilitator reveals it – so early answers do not steer the room. Polls can be closed, and a closed poll does not reopen when you go back. Word clouds grow live.

From result to decision

In Votarium a live poll is not an end in itself: any result can be recorded as a decision with one click, action items get owners and due dates, and everything ends up in the automatically generated minutes.

Live polling in three steps

  1. Add questions

Create questions and, if you like, an agenda in the studio. No account needed.

  2. Go live

Show the screen view in the room or share it in Teams, Zoom or Webex. Everyone joins on their own device via QR code or code.

  3. Reveal and record

Reveal the result, mark it as a decision, download the minutes.

Frequently asked questions

Is voting really anonymous?

Yes. Participants never enter a name, and the random token against duplicate votes is only valid for one session. The facilitator sees totals, not who voted for what.

Can someone vote more than once?

One vote per question counts per browser. Someone using a second device or a private window gets a new token. That is why Votarium is not meant for secret ballots with verified voting rights.

Do participants need an app?

No. People take part in the browser on their phone or laptop, via QR code or the 6-character code.

Does live polling work in Teams, Zoom or Webex?

Yes. You share the screen view as a window or tab, everyone else votes on their own device. You run it from a separate control view.

What does it cost?

Nothing. Votarium is free, without artificial limits.
