Retrospective
Online retrospectives: anonymous, with action items and minutes
With Votarium you run a retrospective in the room, hybrid or remote: anonymous sentiment checks, word clouds and open text, prioritising together and action items with owners. The minutes write themselves.
No account: you get an edit link that lets you keep editing the presentation on any device.
Why anonymity matters in a retro
A retrospective depends on honest feedback. When nobody has to give their name, uncomfortable points come up too. In Votarium all answers are anonymous; the facilitator sees results, not who wrote what.
Proven formats
- Start, stop, continue
- Three open-text or word-cloud questions, then pick the most important points with a ranking.
- Mad, sad, glad
- Three word clouds for the mood, identical words count together.
- Mood barometer
- A scale at the start and at the end shows how things changed.
- Effort versus impact
- Place ideas on a 2x2 matrix before you agree on actions.
A retrospective with Votarium
Check in
An agenda item of type check-in starts a short game in IcebreakerAI; phones switch over and come back afterwards.
Look back
The commitments from last time can join the agenda as a review slide from Actarium.
Collect
Mood via a scale, topics via word cloud or open text – or an agenda item with a board in Pinnarium.
Prioritise
With a ranking or a 2x2 matrix the team decides what to tackle first.
Agree on actions
The room proposes and prioritises actions, the facilitator assigns owners and due dates.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work remote or hybrid?
Yes. You share the screen view in the video call and everyone takes part on their own device – in the room or at home.
Do I need the other tools?
No. Votarium is enough for a complete retrospective. Check-in, board and follow-up in the sister tools are optional.
Can the team give critical feedback anonymously?
Yes. Participants never enter a name; open-text answers and questions are anonymous too.
How do we follow up on action items?
The minutes list every action item with owner and due date. Export them as a checklist or CSV, or hand them over encrypted to Actarium and show them as a review in the next retro.
What does it cost?
Nothing. Votarium is free and needs no account.
