An alternative to Mentimeter and Slido – for meetings that decide
Votarium is a free alternative to Mentimeter and Slido for business meetings and workshops: live polling and Q&A as you know them, plus an agenda with time budgets, recorded decisions, action items and automatic minutes. No cookies, no tracking, servers in Germany.
No account: you get an edit link that lets you keep editing the presentation on any device.
What Votarium does differently
- Outcomes, not slides
- Besides polls there is an agenda with time budgets, decisions, action items with owners and finished minutes.
- Data-minimal
- No cookies, no tracking, no third parties; fonts and scripts come from our own server in Germany.
- No account
- Even the facilitator needs no account: an edit link opens the presentation on any device.
- Deleted automatically
- Sessions with all answers are deleted 30 days after they start, presentations one year after the last change.
When another tool fits better
Votarium is deliberately lean. If you need a quiz with scores, elaborately designed slides, user management with single sign-on or ready-made integrations into PowerPoint and Teams, established tools such as Mentimeter or Slido are the better choice – Votarium does not have these features.
Next to PowerPoint, Teams and Zoom
Votarium does not replace your slides, it runs next to them: you share the screen view as a separate window and run the meeting from a control view with notes, timer and preview.
Switch in three steps
Move your questions
Recreate your questions in the studio; polls, scales, word clouds, open text, ranking, matrix and Q&A are ready.
Add the agenda
Assign the questions to agenda items with time budgets and save it all as a template file.
Try it
Start a session and join with your own phone – no sign-up.
Frequently asked questions
Is Votarium GDPR-compliant?
Votarium collects as little data as possible: participants stay anonymous, there are no cookies, no tracking and no external services, the servers are in Germany, and sessions are deleted after 30 days.
Can I import presentations from Mentimeter or Slido?
No. You recreate your questions in the studio; that is quick because Votarium does not design slides. Your own templates can be saved as a file and loaded again.
Is there a quiz with a leaderboard?
No. Votarium focuses on opinions, decisions and action items.
How does Q&A work?
Participants ask questions anonymously and upvote those of others. The facilitator marks questions as answered, notes the answer for the minutes and can hide questions.
What does Votarium cost?
Nothing. During the beta Votarium is free, without artificial limits.
